Lets see what have I been doing since I posted last...
I made some monster themed artist trading cards.

I'm making 100 this is the first 20.

I made some finger puppets for the give away winner.

I need to find the time to make more of these.

I made a puppet for a cool Wrestler named The Smoke.


I made some monster hats.

and some monsters

and I finished the art dolls I was working on.


I also made some art.



I need to update more often! see you soon.

Zine

I, finally, got my zine to the copy shop and listed it in my etsy shop. I'm such a procrastinator.

Now I'm working on a bunch of different projects, including a set of 100 monster themed artist trading cards. I'll pry post a bunch of them as soon as they are done.

Also, congrats to the winner of the finger puppet giveaway Kira, a fellow monster maker and blogger.

I've been working on making some new art dolls. These are acrylic on canvas. They will be cutout and stuffed to give them some dimension. I also made their eyes with canvas covered buttons.


I'm also making a bunch of new monster hats and monster dolls. I'm hoping to be well stocked up before Halloween and then the Holidays. Yes, i'm thinking way ahead, its better to be prepared.



Oh, and here is a digital art experiment I did with a monster drawing that I thought was fun. His name is Gree.

I've been working on a little zine about monsters. I want to make more of them perhaps adding some story to them. I had lots of fun putting this one together.

upcoming group shows

I have two upcoming shows I recently sent work off for.
One is Mortal Plush, I am not your toy at Art Whino in Maryland from July 11 to August 7. This show includes over 60 artists' plush creations all depicting different emotions.



Then, August 7 to 28 is Meth and Hotdogs: A Collection of Unscrupulous Characters at Cranky Yellow in St. Louis. This one is about 30 different artists work in "a group show celebrating character art. Characters that are unscrupulous, misfits, down and dirty, lowbrow, uncivilized, junkies, screw-ups and bums."



I wish I could go to both of these openings but hopefully there'll be lots of pics online to gawk at.

new dolls

Well, I finally got a bunch my newly redesigned dolls finished. They are a little smaller than my old ones but smaller usually equals cuter. I'm revisiting all my previous characters and created some new ones too. I have a story rattling around in my head involving all of them, but I need to sit down and write it out. Or maybe I should read a book on creative writing first, I dunno. I have lots of projects I want to work on. So, I guess It can wait.




Next, I need to get to work on some monster art.
